Fine-Tune Your Espresso Like a Pro
The VBM Domobar Super continues to redefine what’s possible for home baristas. In this latest commercial, we dive into one of the machine’s most advanced and professional-grade features: Pressure Profiling.
This tool lets you take full control over your espresso extraction process, adjusting pressure levels during the shot to influence flavour, body, and aroma—just like the pros do in high-end specialty cafés
What is Pressure Profiling?
Pressure profiling allows you to manually or digitally control pump pressure throughout the espresso extraction, giving you the ability to:
– Pre-infuse the coffee puck gently at low pressure
– Ramp up to full pressure gradually or instantly
– Decrease pressure toward the end of the shot to avoid over-extraction
In the video, you’ll see how the VBM Domobar Super’s touchscreen interface makes this process simple and visual—offering a real-time graph of the pressure curve with full customization for each profile.
Why Pressure Profiling Matters
Every coffee bean is different. Roast level, origin, and age all affect how it extracts. Pressure profiling gives you the power to:
Customize Each Shot – Adapt your pressure curve to the specific coffee you’re brewing.
Unlock New Flavors – Highlight sweetness, reduce bitterness, or enhance acidity by fine-tuning pressure.
Repeat Results – Save up to 10 pressure profiles and recall them any time for consistency
How It Works on the Domobar Super
With the VBM digital interface, setting up a profile is as intuitive as it is powerful:
1. Tap the pressure profile icon on the touchscreen.
2. Adjust up to 5 stages of pressure in 0.1 bar increments.
3. Set time intervals for each stage to build your desired curve.
4. Save the profile and assign it to a specific brew button.
The rotary pump inside the Domobar Super ensures each programmed pressure curve is delivered precisely and consistently giving you complete control over the shot.
